What each product is good at
The products follow different working models. Novamira documents a broad surface for development and staging. WPAgently bounds individual standard paths and checks their result under the documented contract for that path. The fit depends on your environment, task and risk.
Novamira
The broader developer surface
- Novamira has the broader developer surface. It covers access to PHP, the database and the file system, a chat window inside WordPress, a visual workspace, Context, Skills, Memory, one-time admin access links, an Abilities Hub and command-line tooling.
- Novamira covers more third-party products for page builders, forms and data modelling than WPAgently does.
- Novamira Free 1.11.4 describes all registered Gutenberg block types with attributes, supports and nesting constraints. Novamira Pro 1.8.3 also introduces a separate Spectra Blocks specialisation from plugin version 0.0.8, distinct from the older Spectra and UAGB specialisation.
- The current changelog also adds Oxygen 6 and Voxel as dedicated Pro specialisations. WPAgently has no provider surface of equal breadth that has been practically confirmed.
- The Free plan covers unlimited sites, and there is a one-off Lifetime option alongside it.
WPAgently
The verified working path, live sites included
- The bounded standard content paths use a dedicated Editor account. Administrative and raw-access operations sit separately behind additional gates.
- In the integrated chat, every write action needs its own single-use approval. This applies to that chat path and is not a standing approval for other interfaces.
- The preview shows the same site with its scripts switched off, and you can click a visible element in it and pass that along as context.
- For supported write paths, the respective contracts describe read-back, sometimes render checks and idempotency. That does not promise verification for every conceivable write.
- Backup and restore ship with the product, and default-closed ability profiles bound what the agent gets to see at all.
The difference in the safety and working model
This comparison describes documented working and safety boundaries, not a general quality verdict. The Novamira statements come from Novamira's own documentation; the WPAgently statements come from the product documentation in this repository.
What the agent is allowed to do on the site
Novamira
The documented abilities require manage_options, which means full administrator rights.
WPAgently
The bounded standard content paths use a dedicated Editor account. Higher administrative and Power paths are separate and require their own approvals.

How raw access to PHP, files and the database is bounded
Novamira
Novamira documents PHP execution with full access and a broad surface for file and database operations.
WPAgently
WPAgently puts raw access in a separate developer and staging mode. That mode is its own plugin, off by default, and executing arbitrary PHP additionally requires a constant in wp-config.php that can only be set with file system access. It does not claim general feature equivalence with Novamira's raw access.
What happens after a serious error
Novamira
Crash recovery deactivates the plugin after a fatal error, but does not roll back the change that caused it.
WPAgently
Where an individual bounded file or database operation explicitly supports crash recovery, the change is rolled back. There is no such promise for arbitrary PHP code. A candidate sandbox path is not a universal recovery promise either.
Who is responsible for the backup
Novamira
A full backup before you start is documented as a recommendation. Creating it is your job.
WPAgently
Backup and restore ship as paths inside the product, each behind its own gate.
And yes, an individual checked contract can still fail. What matters then is the concrete error report and the documented recovery boundary, not a general safety promise.
Feature areas where a tick box is not enough
Both product surfaces now include chat, visual work, Context, Skills, Design, Memory, an Abilities Hub and one-time admin access links. That does not mean they grant the same permissions or deliver the same working quality.
- The breadth is especially visible in Gutenberg. Novamira Free 1.11.4 exposes all registered Gutenberg block types with their attributes, supports and nesting constraints. WPAgently can read registrations in a controlled way, but blocks raw arbitrary block markup and defines a narrower contract for each write path.
- Spectra Blocks and the older Spectra or UAGB are separate specialisations in Novamira Pro 1.8.3. Individual WPAgently paths must therefore not be presented as general Spectra Blocks compatibility.
- Both products have CLI tools. Novamira documents browser OAuth and its own self-test. WPAgently's doctor identifies selected certificate errors on Windows and gives safe system-CA guidance. That is diagnostic help, not complete Windows compatibility certification.
- For chat, preview, Context, Skills, Design, Memory, Hub and admin links, this page names only documented surfaces and approvals. It does not infer comparable completeness or outcomes from them.
WPAgently does not claim general feature equivalence from individual counterparts. The relevant evidence remains the concrete provider, ability and tested contract.
Pricing compared
The two price lists cannot be set against each other one to one. They are quoted in different currencies, and the site allowances are cut differently. So compare the plan that matches your number of sites, not the headline figure.

Novamira tiers its plans by feature set and site count, WPAgently only by site count. A lower entry price therefore does not automatically mean you get the same thing, and a higher price does not automatically mean you get more.
Where WPAgently does not keep up today
A comparison that points in one direction only is not a comparison. These are the places where WPAgently is currently the narrower product.
- Voxel and deep Oxygen 6 management are open gaps in breadth.
- ACPT Pro, JetEngine and ASE Pro remain direct data-modelling gaps as long as there is no legally usable test installation.
- WPForms Pro and Gravity Forms have integration paths with contract and rollback tests, but remain practically unconfirmed without a licensed test installation.
- The Weglot path is tested against the official Weglot 6.2 source contract, but is not yet certified against a real activated Weglot installation.
- Global SEO plugin settings and redirects outside Rank Math are covered more broadly by Novamira.
- The complete registry breadth for all Gutenberg blocks and the separate Spectra Blocks specialisation from Novamira 1.11.4 and 1.8.3 are not general WPAgently parity.
- If you need arbitrary PHP, file system or database access plus a comprehensive developer sandbox, Novamira provides the broader documented surface.
- WPAgently's Windows diagnostic help is not a complete practical Windows compatibility proof.

WPAgently costs $99 per year for one site. All three plans contain the same feature set and differ only in the number of sites the licence covers.
